Rules
- You should not climb at Fort Purbrook with anyone who is not from your household or support bubble.
- Our capacity has stayed the same, but you should not mix with others when visiting, even if you know those people.
- You are now required to wear a mask when not on the wall; this includes when arriving to site and moving around site and when you are not on the climbing wall itself.

When You Visit Us
We want to make everyone’s return to bouldering as safe and as easy as possible. With the year drawing to a close and incidents fluctuating across the country, we need to make sure that we are doing whatever we can to protect our climbers and our staff, and to keep everyone climbing safely!
Fort Purbrook has moved into ‘Tier 2:High Level’ restrictions. But these higher level restrictions mean the following changes to our measures:
- You should not climb at Fort Purbrook with anyone who is not from your household or support bubble.
- Masks – you are now required to wear a mask when not on the wall; including while waiting on the matts
- Wash or Sanitise your hands frequently, you will find plenty of hand sanitising stations around site.
- Where possible, arrive for your session ready to climb, the changing rooms will not be open.
- At all times adhere to social distancing measures, keeping at least 2 metres apart from other climbers and avoiding busy areas and avoid contact with other climbers and staff who are not in your household.
- Make sure to check-out when leaving, this is also just a nice thing to do.
- No Spectators, we love to watch bouldering too, but we need to keep as much capacity for boulders as possible. If you are planning on bringing the children you will be counted as part of the group in the wall.
- To help us reduce high volumes of calls or wait times please consider purchasing a pre-paid membership.
- We advise you to book in advance to avoid disappointment and wait times.
Due to the nature of the climbing wall, we are unable to wash each hold after its use, so we ask that you wash your hands before and after your climb.
Thank you to all our climbers for sticking to these rules and helping to keep our wall’s open.
