Young Adventurer Programme

A chance for 5 to 9-year olds to experience a variety of stimulating, practical activity sessions on one new adventure away from school. Pupils will navigate through the day learning the importance of working together, gaining a taste of independence and inspiring their curiosity and creativity.

The Young Adventurer Programme brings together and exciting mix of adventure and wild survival, immersing your class or group in nature and encouraging them to utilise the resources in their environment to challenge their perceptions of the natural world. Your group will be taken on a journey of exploration through our adventure environments, with a range of engaging sessions including shelter building, fire lighting and foraging, nature trails or nature art and camp cooking or nature awareness.

You can choose a one off session or day visit which includes fun activities based around team building and discovery, or add on a big sleepover for an extra special trip. It’s the perfect taster before embarking on an even bigger adventure in their later school years.

This package is ideal for team development, enrichment days, summer schools, induction days and much more!

Mini Adventurers

A scaled back version of our Young Adventurers Programme, aimed at Nursery school groups that want to take their learning outside!

The children take part in a huge variety of activities, such as building dens, making leaf pictures, creating fantasy worlds, outdoor cooking, bug hunts and caring for the environment, as well as having plenty of opportunity for free exploration of the woodland alongside experienced child-centred staff. The teaching staff are very well qualified, with a passion for outdoor learning and will help plan and deliver the session you need.

We believe the outdoors is the best place for children to learn and develop, this is why PAAC provides children with the opportunity to spend their nursery days in the natural environment rather than in a nursery classroom, experiencing the seasons first hand and developing their innate curiosity and love of learning.

Feedback

“ The children always enjoy going to the Peter Ashley centre. The sessions are fun and follow children’s interest and development and is always packed with lots of exciting things to do and places to explore. The staff are always helpful, caring towards the children and very enthusiastic about what they do. A great experience for any setting” – Green Roots Nursery
