Back to basic is how we describe our accommodation, but it is a warm, clean and a comfortable place to rest your head after a day of exploring the local area.

Rooms come in different sizes with various numbers of bunk beds in each.

Due to the complex design of the Fort we are only booking one family or bubble per floor, so you will have the toilets and showers all to yourselves.

All bedding will be provided, but you’ll need to bring your own towels.

Accommodation buildings have key coded doors to prevent public access and individual bedrooms have lockable doors. The site will be secured by the estates manager each night and in case of emergency you can contact him or the offsite duty manger on the emergency number.

There will be tea, coffee and juice available from the catering hall during your stay at all times.

Generally, parents and children will be in separate bedrooms but as most of the rooms have three bunk beds, you could all be sharing one room if your party is on the larger side.

Due to nature of building expect uneven floors, steps and ramps.

No. In line with current Government guidance, different families will not be asked to share bedrooms or toilet/ showering facilities. Due to the complex design of the Fort we are only booking one family or bubble per floor, so you will have the toilets and showers all to yourselves.

YES! You can add activities to your stay. Do let us know when booking and we will quote you for the extra sessions.

Each session lasts for an hour.

Breakfast, teas, coffees and juice are all included in your package. There will be several options available. All meals will be served in our residential dining room, located very close to the accommodation.

Breakfast is served between 7.30am and 8.30am – Times can be adjusted to meet your plans with prior notice.

As we know some families will want to head off and explore the city and surrounding countryside we didn’t want to tie you in to lunch and dinner with us. but you can add these on starting at £6.50 per head.

Self-catering facilities are not available, however your stay does include tea and coffee making facilities as well as access to a fridge.

We can cater for any dietary requirement, as long as we know about it in advance. Please let us know at the point of booking so that we can begin preparing.

Wi-Fi is available at Fort Purbrook and you will be given access to this in your welcome pack.

Unfortunately not, but this doesn’t stop you from bringing your own alcohol on site for a responsible glass or two of an evening. There is a games room with two pool tables and other games to entertain, which you will have access too.

Nearby (approx. 10 minute drive from Fort Purbrook) there are several supermarkets, a garage and a pharmacy.

With in a small drives distance or quick taxi/bus ride, there is plenty of places to go for dinner and grab a drink.

There are no laundry facilities available.

The site is open to the public during the daytime and evenings for private booked sessions and clubs, however they will not have access to any of the accommodation areas. Overnight, the site is closed to public access and the site will be secured by the estates manager who also lives on site.

The Portsmouth area offers so much to do! From historic sites to amazing woodland cafes. Fort Purbrook is situated perfectly to over look Portsmouth and the countryside around us.
