Please See Our FAQs Below

You’ve probably got some questions. Hopefully, we’ve answered them below.

How can you ensure that the activity will be safe?

We are taking extra precautions when it comes to running our activities during this time and our instructors have been trained to deliver them in the safest possible way. Social distancing will be paramount throughout your session and we are thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting our kit after every use.

Will I have to share equipment with someone I don't know?

No. We will never make you share equipment with people outside of your household. All sessions will be delivered with social distancing measures in place. Our sessions are based around 1-2-1, 2-2-1 or groups from the same household. We never mix different booking parties.

Do you offer private sessions?

We certainly do! Each activity comes with a one-2-one coaching option or a two-2-one coaching option. Please specify when booking as this effects the price of the activity.

What happens if I need first aid or help during an emergency?

We understand that social distancing is paramount, however so is your physical safety. Should an instructor need to make contact with you, such as those struggling to get back onto their horse, or back into a boat and those that require first aid, The Instructor will do so using PPE as appropriate and reduce the contact time to a minimum, while ensuring your absolute safety at all times.

How many people will be on my session?

We pride ourselves in the fact that you don’t pay to take part in sessions with other people outside of your booking party. You book for your group and your group alone. We are however limiting the number of people we allow to book on to each session, due to current guidelines (this will be constantly reviewed).

Will I need a face covering?

Our staff will be wearing face coverings as they work with you.

Advice from The WHO recommends, not to wear a mask when exercising, and the UK government does not require the wearing of masks where other social distancing measures are in place which we will have whilst outside. As a result we will be leaving it up to you on whether you would like to wear a mask or not.

However, PAAC recognise the advice is fast moving and will be quick to respond should the need change.

What happens if I have to cancel due to Coronavirus?

We have outlined in our terms and conditions what should happen if you have to cancel your session due to COVID-19, which you can be found on our Downloads page of the site.

Do you provide plastic gloves and/or face masks?

Currently, we don’t provide these to customers as we believe that the measures we have in place are adequate enough to ensure your absolute safety during your time with us. However, if you would like to bring your own, you’re very welcome to do so. Staff will have gloves and masks and will wear them when handling equipment or coming within 2 meters of you.

How do you clean your kit?

We’ve increased our cleaning, with kit being cleaned after each session. For water-based activities, kit such as paddles and buoyancy aids are dunked into disinfectant and paddle handles are sprayed with disinfectant spray. For land-based activities, all kit is thoroughly wiped down and sprayed with disinfectant spray after every use.

Why would I bother if it's safer to stay at home?

Outdoor activities are beneficial for both your physical and mental health, and we welcome those that would like to make the most of their time in the great outdoors again. We also have extra safety precautions in place to ensure your safety at all times, however we understand that people may still not want to take part – and that’s ok!

Will there be anti-bacterial hand wash available?

Yes, anti-bacterial hand wash is available at all both our activity sites and we ask that customers do their bit, with regular hand washing throughout your visit with us.
